CIMC2 Week 2 Recap: A Big Thank You!

Hello, everyone! First, let me say a huge thank you to everyone who joined me for this week’s CIMC2 class. I’m thrilled to see how much our community is growing. Can you believe the number of participants doubled from our first session? It’s truly amazing to see so many people eager to learn and share in this journey through the cassava value chain.

This week, our class went global with participants from the United States, other African countries, Haiti, and even as far as Russia. It’s incredible to witness the interest in cassava extending across borders, and I’m so proud to be part of a program that brings us all together.

What We Covered

For this session, we dived deep into fundraising for cassava agribusiness. We explored grants and loans—where to find them and, more importantly, how to secure them. I know this is a crucial area for many, and it was a privilege to guide you through the process.

We also took a close look at garri as a commodity. From farm to table, we discussed the full production process, examining each step in detail. Garri is such a staple product, and understanding its value and production is key for anyone looking to thrive in the cassava industry.

The Q&A Connection

One of my favorite parts of the session was the Q&A. I had the opportunity to connect one-on-one with several of you, answering your questions and hearing your stories. These moments remind me why I started CIMC2 in the first place—it’s about empowering each of you to succeed.

Exciting Plans Ahead

Our final class is coming up next week, and I’m looking forward to answering as many of your questions as I can. Don’t hold back—this is your chance to get clarity and direction.

But the end of CIMC2 doesn’t mean the end of our journey together. I’m excited to announce my plans to create an online cassava community. This will be a space where we can continue to interact, network, and learn from one another. I believe this community will be a game-changer for the cassava industry, fostering collaboration and innovation long after the mentorship sessions are over.
